From 1994 to 1998, Frank Steinicke developed soundtracks, soundscapes, ambient soundtracks, and sound collages.

He developed the idea for the 20-minute piece "20 Hours Loop" based on his experience that the constant repetition of certain melodies and rhythms over a period of 20 hours directs attentional energy to new perceptions and allows for a more sensually intense experience.
