The painter, photographer and graphic designer Jürgen Frisch was born in 1948 in Münchberg / Franconia. He began his artistic career at the Hochschule der Künste in Berlin in 1974, where he studied painting and free graphic art until 1980, and was appointed master teacher of Professor Martin Engelman.

In 1980, Frisch was one of the co-founders of the GARAGE producer gallery in Berlin. Jürgen Frisch, who has lived and worked in Berlin since the early 1970s, has been involved in individual and group exhibitions in Germany, Sweden, Denmark, the Netherlands and the USA the Art Fair in Los Angeles. Some of his works are publicly owned, the Berlinische Galerie, the Artothek (Berlin), the Museum Folkwang (Essen) and the Malmö House Lans Landsting in Malmo / Sweden.
